Malvern’s Water and Well Dressing Festival 2nd-10th May 2026

Join us for a wonderful festival

Malvern’s vibrant and energetic Water and Well Dressing Festival is nearly upon us and the town is already buzzing with excitement. The annual festival is a celebration of the town’s unique spring water and its heritage. An opportunity for the community to come together and bring joy to their spring whilst appreciating the waters. The annual Well Dressing this year is in the theme of Birds! Over 50 wells will be decorated by local groups through handmade crafts as a fun and creative tradition to give thanks to the waters. As always, the weekend is packed full of activities, water blessings and ceremonies, and not to forget- insightful talks by Malvern Spa Association.

We hope you enjoy a fun filled weekend exploring the dressed springs and wells, join in the many community offerings and the family fun day on May Day.

The well dressers will be busy decorating their wells on Friday the 1st of May for the community to start enjoying visiting the sites between Saturday the 2nd of May until the 10th of May. To explore the dressed wells, download the map.

There are a few changes this year

Unfortunately, MSA are unable to run the popular mini-bus tours this year. We hope to resume this offering for the Well Dressing festival 2027. For more information on this, see here.

This year’s festival is looking a little different to previous years- with the Malvern Theatres refurbishment extending into Priory Park, the town’s Family Fun Day will be on Belle View Island on May Day, Monday the 4th of May. The day will be packed with musical performances, activities, and of course the awards ceremony for the talented well dressers.

Make sure you check out the other events that are going on throughout the town all weekend- there is something for everyone.
