Discover the Magic of Malvern’s Waters through Music and Creativity

A Malvern Spa Association project Led by Award-Winning Composer Liz Dilnot Johnson

Following the successful workshop at the Octagon Centre on 14th June, the next event in this project is a concert in Studio 1 at Malvern Theatres on 4th July.

The concert is being given by the Hills Singers who are performing a programme called ‘Rejoice in Summer’. It is a collection of songs from all ages, celebrating the natural world, poetry, and human relations, from the exuberant spiritual Every time I feel the Spirit, to Mozart’s Veni sancte Spiritus, and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.

The concert also includes Malvern Spa Association’s first new piece of Malvern Water Music for the 21st century, created with the community by Malvern-based composer Liz Dilnot-Johnson. There are three new songs for voice and harp which are inspired by and telling the story of Malvern Water.
